Payment information: securely processed by third party providers (e.g., Stripe, Apple Pay).

2. How We Use Your Data

To build and personalize memory avatars and digital tributes.
To provide and maintain app functionality.
To improve our AI systems and user experience (only with anonymized data).
To communicate updates, features, or support when necessary.
We never sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties without consent.

3. Data Security

All content is stored in encrypted servers located in the United States.
Access to your data is limited to you and authorized BYL personnel bound by confidentiality.
We comply with global privacy standards, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR) when applicable.

4. Data Retention

Your information remains stored as long as your account is active.
Once deleted, all data is permanently erased within 30 days, except as required by law.
You may request a portable copy of your content before deletion.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:
Access and correct your personal data.
Request deletion or data portability.
Withdraw consent for processing at any time.

6. AI and Sensitive Data

BYL uses AI models to process photos, videos, and audio you provide for generating avatars and digital journals.
All AI processing is done securely and never used to train public datasets.
We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal or significant personal effects.

7. Children’s Privacy

BYL is not directed at or intended for individuals under 18 years of age.
Any profile related to minors must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
Any profile or account found to relate to minors, or to have been created to circumvent these Terms, is subject to immediate removal at the sole discretion of BYL.

8. Third-Party Integrations

Payments and authentication are handled by trusted third parties under their own privacy policies.
BYL is not responsible for data handled outside its secure environment.

9. Consent Checkboxes (in-app consent):

• Yes, you have my permission to store my photos, videos, voice notes, and personal information on BYL’s secure servers.
• Yes, I consent to BYL processing my personal information, videos, and photos to generate an AI avatar and a digital memory diary.
